Our History

1984
Foundation
Singapore Chefs Association is born

Singapore Chefs Association was established to represent professional cooks and advance the culinary profession in Singapore. A small group of passionate chefs came together with a vision to elevate the industry.

1990
First Competition
first national culinary competition

Organized the first national culinary competition, establishing a platform for local chefs to showcase their talents and skills.

2000
International Affiliation
connecting SG chefs to a global network

Joined the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), connecting Singapore chefs to a global network of over 100 countries.

Constitution

Where does it come from?

The Singapore Chefs Association operates under a constitution that governs our organizational structure, membership criteria, election procedures, and code of conduct. Our constitution ensures transparency, accountability, and fair representation for all members.

The constitution was first adopted in 1984 and has been amended over the years to reflect the evolving needs of our community and the culinary industry at large.
